Introducing St Albert Chiropractor Dr. Ed Osburn

Dr. Ed Osburn, St. Albert ChiropractorThe first time that I visited a chiropractor I didn’t have an inkling of what a chiropractor was, did, or how they did it—and quite frankly I didn’t care. You see, I was 17 years old and felt like I was 70 due to excruciating neck pain.  I tried everything from physiotherapy to powerful anti-inflammatory drugs and dangerous painkillers and nothing would come close to touching the pain. Not to mention the effects on my quality of life—just imagine 17 years of age and being unable to compete in the sports you loved, concentrate in school, or even get a good nights sleep for that matter. That is where and when my path began that led me to becoming a chiropractor—a chiropractor got me out of pain; however chiropractic changed my perspective on life thereafter.  Going through a process of what seemed incurable pain at such a young age affected me profoundly. I changed my entire lifestyle to one of achieving and maintaining incredible levels of health, function and happiness.

Fast forward ten years… I attended my undergraduate studies in Santa Clara, California where I majored in Biological Sciences and Human Genetics. I was purely amazed by the human body and nature. I graduated Valedictorian with a perfect GPA, and began my chiropractic studies in Hayward, California. My education allowed me to be exposed to some of North America’s most wildly successful and principled chiropractors that helped to mold and shape me into the chiropractor that I later became.

My wife and I have taken on a mission in our community to help people achieve outstanding levels of health and happiness, where prevention and wellness is the key to a living a full and vital life. We are very serious about what we do and consider ourselves our patient’s healthcare coaches—coaching them back to a state of optimal health, wellness, and function.

I have to admit that I have but one flaw—and that is I am completely and utterly dedicated, open-hearted and committed to the care of my patients and their families. And as I have matured as a doctor, I have slowly began to accept to that my concern and commitment to health may be greater than that of some patients that walk through our doors.  Nonetheless I guarantee you this: if you are ready for a life of phenomenal levels of vitality and longevity than I am behind you 110% of the way.

I am a much healthier person today than I was before I started chiropractic care and have a wonderful wife and chiropractor that takes great care and attention of my spine and nervous system. I don’t take nor have a need for prescription drugs or over-the-counter medication. I cross train each week to maintain strength and focus strongly on marathon running—having competed in more than 10 marathons throughout North America.

This is my story in a nut shell—but I am more interested in hearing yours. I look forward to the opportunity to sit down with you knee-to knee and discuss your health and lifestyle goals. We are given only so many heartbeats. Why wait another day to release your fullest potential that you were created to express?

Dr. Ed Asks some important questions of interest to St Albert residents - Chiropractor St Albert Dr. Ed Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
Would you rather feel good or be healthy?
Ask most people in St Albert and they want to feel good. Careful! Would you take medicine that makes you feel good, rather than vomit to expel improperly prepared food? Every chiropractic patient knows that you can't measure your health by how you feel. True health is when your body works as it should.
